Estonian language translation and interpreting service

A member of the Finnic branch of the Uralic languages, Estonian is distantly related to Hungarian and to the Sami languages.

The Estonian language shares a great deal of its vocabulary with the Finnish language; it is believed to be spoken by 1 million people in the Republic of Estonia – with a further 100,000 speakers worldwide.

The Estonian dialects are divided into two groups – the northern and southern dialects which are historically associated with the cities of Tallinn in the north, and Tartu in the south.
